Description

Not far from the railroad station Tukums II, a monument has been set up to commemorate the residents of Tukums and the vicinity who in 1941 and 1949 were deported. The memorial site was set up in 1989, and the railway tracks, which are driven into the ground, bear the names of all those places, to which the residents of Tukums were deported, but a memorial plate with the names of all people deported from Tukums and the vicinity stands in the centre of the memorial.
