The Settlement of Siliņupedates back to the 3rd to 2nd millennium before Christ. This area was inhabited after the sea receded, and the ancient residents were hunters and fishermen. Ancient tools made of stone, hornstone, bone, amber and wood, as well as ancient fishing and hunting tools have been found here. Clay pottery had also been once used at the settlement. A memorial was open in year 2000 on the edge of the settlement territory.
