Devil’s Foot Boulder of Lanksēde or Langsēde

Description

The Devil’s Foot Boulder of Lanksēde or Langsēde is an archaeological monument of local importance found in the Imula river. You can find it as you walk along the path on the right bank of Imula from “Vītiņi” to “Romance” and slightly going off the trail and off the main route (the path is marked in nature with white lines on trees).

The boulder is not particularly large, but on top of it a footprint can be seen. Legend has it that it was left by the devil, who ran here to cross the river Abava and stepped on it to make the next leap.
