Description

The creative farm "Sea Stories" presents the life stories of five generations of sailors and fishermen of the same family in Engure, their destinies. The owner's name is Baiba and her granddaughter is the 8th generation of the family in Engure. Baiba, the owner, is the captain's wife, the captain's mother, a fisherman's daughter, granddaughter and great-granddaughter.

During an hour and a half in the creative farm, you will hear big and small stories of sea ploughmen, you will see video moments of sea work in the giant waves of the North Sea and also right here in the small sea, you will be able to see the nets and tools made by local fishermen, you will see a book of poetry pictures created by the owners, also paintings created by the hostess, the landscape of Engure canvas and magnets, treat yourself to delicious apple juice and create your own power signs together. And also - you will experience the celebration of the holiday in the Latvian tradition.

In the creative workshop "Finding and creating a personal sign of strength" together with the hostess in a simplified way with special color tools - we will each create our own sign of strength on coastal pebbles to put in your pocket or put on the table. The hostess will educate and tell the meaning of the signs, promoting understanding and their application in everyday life, as well as the hostess will teach how to celebrate traditional Latvian holidays according to the Sun and Moon calendar - there will be games, activities, riddles, songs.
