The interior of Lestene Lutheran Church (1703)has entered the Latvian art history as the greatest ensemble of baroque era wood-carvings. It was made by the wood-carver from Ventspils – Nikolajs Sefrenss Junior. During World War II, the church had suffered a lot, and later it was vandalised, therefore today only the simple and slightly rough exterior of the church can be seen.
