Description

The Vāne Manor (19^th cent.) during the times of the barons, along with Aizupe property, was one of the largest estates in the surrounding area. During the 16th century, the Vāne Manor was the place, where the last living days were spent by Somolon Hening (1528-1589) - the Livonian chronicle writer, the secretary and fiduciary of the Duke of Kurzeme, Gotthard Kettler.

Unfortunately, resulting from the events of the 1905 revolution, the castle was burnt down and renovated for arranging the school during the 1936-1940.
