The road, which only 100 years ago led to the Rauda Manor, now leads to the seashore in the village of Plieņciems. Already since the end of the 19th century, various medical establishments have been situated in the starting section of the street. The out-patient healthcare centre built in 1979, which back in the day was considered a rather modern building, is also situated nearby.
