The suburban area of Ozoliņi acquired its modern-day appearance over the course of the last 30–40 years, when single homes where constructed in the vicinity of the former Tukums horticulture centre and wood-processing plant “Vulkāns” (later renamed “Tukums”). This area also has several homes that are nearly 100 years old.
