Promenade of the Kandava Old Town

Description

The promenade of Kandava old town was made in 2011. Historically, the largest part of this area had not been used. It was swampy and unsuitable for building. A small part of the promenade before construction was taken up by a children's playground. This was the location of a root vegetable garden set up early in the last century. Now, this is a place of recreation. The promenade is criss-crossed by a stream that is adorned with rocky banks and 7 bridges that are seemingly inviting newlyweds. There are two children’s playgrounds within the territory with various swings and other active recreation sites.
