On 18 May 2013, a peculiar object was unveiled on a fire wall of a house in Katrīna Square in Tukums — the poem “Tukums” by Imants Ziedonis. The poem describes what Tukums looked like back in the day and what the locals would like it to look like in the future. The lines that Imants Ziedonis wrote in this poem and many locals cannot stop chanting are becoming ever more popular: “Let me approach the world of beauty, like cherries blossoming in Tukums!”
