“Page Against the Machine”
Grab a book you've started or a long-forgotten one, a warm drink, turn off your phone, and come to Mālkalns-Hill to enjoy an hour of reading in the midst of peace!
“Page Against the Machine” is an international campaign that has been uniting readers from a wide variety of backgrounds and age groups for several years (in Tukums - for the first time!) and reminding them of the joy of reading.
When? - Saturday, May 24
Where? – In Tukums, on Mālkalns-Hill near the monument*
When? - At 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Thanks to the Tukums Youth Center, a book exchange point will be open during the event, and the "KuKul Elizabete" bakery will surprise you with a special treat.
Capture your chosen book and reading spot, and share the photo on social media using hashtags #PageAgainsttheMachine and #LappusePretEkrāniem
The event is organized by Tukums UNESCO City of Literature in collaboration with Norwich UNESCO City of Literature and The Book Hive bookstore. Supported by the UNESCO Cities of Literature Network.
