Durbe Manor Park and Eastern White Pine

Description

Durbe Manor Park was established during the time from 1918 until 1838, when the Count Medem reconstructed the Durbe Manor and improved its surroundings. The park was arranged according to an example of an English scenic park. Trees for the park were brought from Siberia and Germany. Also the thickest Eastern White Pine (Pinus strobus L.) of Latvia is growing here. Its circumference is 3.18 metres.
